The circus begins

The first order of business for those we elected to serve us in Congress was to gather in secret and try to emasculate efforts to control unethical behavior in their ranks. The people rose up and told them what we thought of that. So that effort was hastily scrapped by these Republicans, and they quickly found their bearings again and instead took aim at health care, the long overdue action that is providing many Americans with insurance. Repeal it, they say. Makes Obama look good. No need. His record of accomplishment is superb, and heaven knows it has helped Americans, even if one doesn’t include affordable health care for millions.

Let’s not lose our focus, these Congressional Republicans agreed among themselves. Let’s remember that our main mission here is to humiliate President Barack Obama by repealing the Affordable Care Act. We don’t want him to be able to take credit for helping the American people. What’s that you say? We don’t have a workable plan to replace it? No problem. We’ll think of something. Give us time. Mainly we need to repeal it at all costs.

This is just the beginning, folks. Watching this gang of right-wingers wrestle with our  self-serving new president for the next four years might be entertaining to watch, if only their shenanigans didn’t affect the rest of us. But they do and will. So will his.
